Dr. Lerman’s work includes the diagnosis and long-term management of patients suffering from seizure disorders, and those afflicted by neuro-cognitive and neuro-psychiatric disorders. Concussion

Concussion can have a significant impact on patients with both temporary and permanent effects. It can lead to altered sensorium, changes in neurological status, seizures, headaches, mood disorders, neuropsychiatric and cognitive disorders and insomnia. Repetitive concussion can, in some cases, result in long term cognitive and neuropsychological issues.

Medical Cannabis

With the passing of Amendment 2 by Florida voters on November 8th, 2016, medical cannabis is approved to treat people who have very specific or comparable debilitating diseases. Amendment 2, also known as  the Florida Medical Marijuana Legalization Initiative, and the expanded qualifying medical conditions, became effective on January 3, 2017.

Multiple Sclerosis

Disease of the central nervous system. Diagnosis and treatment for those living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), including primary progressive, secondary progressive and relapsing-remitting forms. Symptoms include double vision, spasticity, electrical type pain, weakness, dizziness and vertigo, tingling numbness in hands or feet, urinary incontinence and gait instability. While the cause of MS is unknown, there are treatment options available relieve symptoms and delay disease progression.

Ictus cerebral
